The
BaseRate
program is used to
evaluate the potential reliability of a Lowest Functional Element ( LFE),
which is a component
or group of components such as an assembly, and Hybrid. The analysis
can be completed using default values and updated using actual values
later in the design process. This lets the Engineer impact the
design while it is still cost effective to make changes.
What
sets the BaseRate
program above other
reliability programs is the PEM
Model which is used
along with MIL-HDBK-217F-N2 Model. The Reliability
Analysis Center developed a reliability assessment model to
assess the potential reliability of state-of-the-art Plastic Encapsulated
Microcircuits (PEMs) in most environments. It is this model that is used
in the ‘PEM Model’ of the
BaseRate
program This
Program is provided for a cost of only $
1,595. US.
